Work

Experience DeMaria has worked as an English teacher at Monterrey Tech since July of 1993. Before that, he worked at different places in the same field for three years in Mexico City. Immediately before coming to Mexico, Dino worked for a year as an editor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in Washington. He was also with the United States Peace Corps in Thailand (also as an English teacher) from 1986-1988. Just out of university, DeMaria worked for two and a half years in a Rochester, New York, children's center for emotionally disturbed kids. Dino has also driven delivery trucks for Pepsi-Cola, rolled pizzas for Pizza Hut, and bussed tables for a restaurant.

Educational Background

Dino holds a Master of Science in Education degree from the University of Rochester. His undergraduate studies led to a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Bonaventure University; that degree included time spent studying in New York City and London. Dino did high school at McQuaid Jesuit High School of Rochester, New York.

Hobbies and Interests

DeMaria likes Chicago-style pizza (no anchovies). He also enjoys swimming, reading spy stories and other stories, and going to art museums. His favorite city is San Francisco, his favorite book is Moby Dick, and his favorite film is "Midnight Cowboy."
