Lee
Dunn is a lecturer and academic
developer at the Teaching and Learning Centre.
She joined the Centre full-time in 2002, after
being associated with the Centre for a number of
years, having been seconded from the School
of Social and Workplace Development (SaWD) in 1999
half-time to work on an externally funded project
that investigated assessment practices at Southern
Cross, and again in 2001 to work as an academic
developer part-time.
In the year 2000 Lee took leave
from Southern Cross and spent the time working in
a learning development role at Oxford Brookes University
in the UK . Lee is interested in the processes of
teaching and learning in higher education from the
points of view of both the academic teacher and the
student, assessment as a way to focus and enhance
learning, and the professional development of teachers
in higher education.
