About accepted papers

Format for papers submitted:

Those authors whose proposal has been accepted must send their paper using the following formats:

Content and characteristics of papers submitted:

  • Submitted documents, visual aids and the presentation of the paper to the congress must be in one language only (Spanish or English).
  • The results of the research or the innovative practice which are to be shared must have been obtained or undertaken between January 2013 and October 2014.
  • The papers must clearly focus on Innovation in Education.
  • The document must include the following chapters: introduction, body, conclusions and capitalization.
  • The maximum length of the paper is 8 pages for extended abstracts (including appendices) and 20 slides for PowerPoint presentations.
  • The content must reflect:
    • The innovation which is incorporated into the experience being presented.
    • Background information (level, course, number of participants, academic period, duration, and any other aspects deemed to be necessary).
    • Critical and significant incidents, both positive and negative, which took place and had an impact (difficulties which arose, decisions taken to overcome them, results of these decisions, successes, deficiencies, errors and omissions observed, etc.).
    • Conclusion which incorporates the teacher’s reflections on the experience presented (benefits of the experience, recommendations for its use, areas of opportunity).
    • Capitalization which explains how this experience can be taken advantage of in order to benefit other colleagues, in addition to how it can be transferred and improved.

  • The quality criteria which the papers presented must follow include:
    • Scientific and academic rigor. It is expected that the papers presented are based on literature corresponding to the topic in question, including information which supports any statements made. Conclusions must be the result of a profound analysis of the information used.
    • Contributions to understanding of the discipline. The document must clearly indicate the reasons why the experience presented corresponds to innovation in said area.
    • Structure and coherence of text. The text must comply with all the guidelines stipulated in the application process.

  • If the paper has already been presented at another forum, evidence must be attached (e.g. ISBN of the proceedings of the congress or a certificate of participation).
