Gabe Zichermann is the CEO of GSummit where the most outstanding experts in gamification from every sector come together to share their knowledge.

He is also an author, speaker and businessman whose book, The Gamification Revolution (McGraw Hill, 2103), analyzes how leaders are taking advantage of the gamification strategy to tackle the competition.

His previous books, Gamification by Design (2011) and Game-Based Marketing (2010), have helped define the standards and frameworks used by the industry, and are still the one of the key reference texts today.

Aaron Sams is the founder of Learning Designs, LLC, Turn About Learning, LLC, and The Flipped Learning Network ™. He has been an educator since 2000 and is currently Assistant Professor at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, and recently served as Director of Digital Learning at RPTS in Pittsburgh, PA.

He was awarded the 2009 Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and Science. Aaron served as co-chair of the Colorado State Science Standards Revision  Committee and serves as an advisor to TED-Ed. Aaron is co-author of Flip Your Classroom: Reach Every Studentin Every Class Every Day and Flipped Learning: Gateway toStudent Engagement.

Frequently speaks and conducts workshops on the educational uses of screencasts and Flipped Classroom concept. He believes strongly in research and learning environments student-centered where students are encouraged to learn and demonstrate their understanding in ways that are meaningful to them. Aaron brings a unique educational perspective to any audience experienced, and public schools, private sources, both face to face, online, and the mix of learning environments.

He is a lifelong student, reader, manufacturer, and explorer. He has a degree in Biochemistry and a Masters in Education, both from Biola University.

Tony Crider, chair of the Physics Department at Elon University and Director of Digital Learning for the Reacting Consortium of Colleges and Universities.  Tony has also written a game in the Reacting series--"The Pluto Debate The International Union Defines a Planet".  He also spear-headed the NSF project concerning the use of Reacting in science instruction.  Tony received his Ph.D. in space physics and astronomy from Rice University in 1999 and continued his research of gamma-ray bursts as a National Research Council associate at the Naval Research Laboratory. Before moving to Elon, he coordinated the Multimedia Design and Development program. His interest in science visualization led him to create virtual planetariums, telescopes, and lunar landscapes within the 3D online world of Second Life. In 2006, he co-founded the SciLands, an archipelago of Second Life islands dedicated to science education and outreach.

John Traxler is Professor of Mobile Learning, probably the world’s first and a full UK professor, and Director of the Learning Lab at the University of Wolverhampton. He is a Founding Director of the International Association for Mobile Learning, Associate Editor of the International Journal of Mobile and Blended Learning and of Interactive Learning Environments. He is on the Research Board of the Association of Learning Technology, the Editorial Board of Research in Learning Technology and IT in International Development. He was Conference Chair of mLearn2008, the world’s biggest and oldest mobile learning research conference. He has guest edited three special editions of peer-reviewed journals devoted to mobile learning including Distance Education plus an African edition of the International Journal of Mobile and Blended Learning.

Derek Bruff is director of the Vanderbilt University Center for Teaching and a senior lecturer in the Vanderbilt Department of Mathematics. As director, he oversees the Center’s programming and offerings for faculty and graduate students, helping them develop foundational teaching skills and explore new ideas in teaching and learning. He also consults regularly with campus leaders about pedagogical issues, seeking to foster a university culture that supports effective teaching. Bruff served on the board of directors of the Professional and Organizational Development (POD) Network from 2010 to 2013, and currently serves as co-PI on a three-year, $750,000 National Science Foundation grant supporting the creation of two MOOCs (massive open online courses) on evidence-based teaching practices for future STEM faculty.  Bruff’s research interests include educational technology, visual thinking, and social pedagogies. He blogs on these topics at derekbruff.org, and his book, Teaching with Classroom Response Systems: Creating Active Learning Environments, was published by Jossey-Bass in 2009.  Bruff has taught at Harvard University and has a PhD in mathematics from Vanderbilt University.

Since 1999 he has been working on issues related to the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Education. He began his professional life at the Universidad de los Andes, as a member of the Laboratory for Research and Development on Information Technology in Education (COPE), where he worked as a researcher and consultant until 2007 From October 2005 to April 2008, was in charge National Project of Media and ICT Use in Higher Education, Ministry of Education of Colombia.

In April 2008 he moved to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), where he began acting as a consultant to various Latin American organizations concerned with ICT and Education (including the Plan Ceibal -Uruguay-, IDRC, the National Education System Distance -Mexico-, Universia -Peru-) and some universities (Universidad de la Sabana -Bogotá-, Universidad EAFIT -Medellín-, Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana -Medellín-).

Since April 2012 (and currently) is linked to the Universidad EAFIT (Medellin, Colombia) as a researcher and adviser of the ICT Research, Development and Innovation Group (GIDITIC).

Carlos Collares es Profesor de Educación Médica en la Facultad de Salud, Medicina y Ciencias de la Vida de la Universidad de Maastricht (Maastricht, Holanda), desde septiembre de 2012.

Es graduado en Medicina por parte de la Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina. Cuenta con un Doctorado en Psicología (Evaluación en psicología de la educación) de la Universidad de São Francisco.

Cursó una Maestría en Psicología (Neurociencias y comportamiento) en la Universidad de São Paulo. Tiene una especialización en Medicina del Trabajo de la Universidad de São Paulo.

Actualmente, brinda consultoría a escuelas de medicina en todo el mundo para proyectos de educación, ha trabajado en la implementación de programas internacionales de prueba de progresos. Ha realizado investigación sobre la validez y la confiabilidad de los instrumentos de evaluación, la teoría de respuesta al ítem, análisis factorial, modelación de ecuaciones estructurales y pruebas computarizadas adaptativas. También es tutor de estudiantes.
